Melancholy

This was a companion piece and more practice from my painting Echo. This is Melancholy, which is a more somber emotion that I wanted to try and capture using the opaque flow of gouache. The black outlines were done with a brush pen, but everything else is entirely paint.

Work was done on a 7" x 10" Fabrino warm pressed water color sheet, and the gouache used was Turner brand.
